Dr. Dave Haeussler is the founder of Animal Care Centers of Cincinnati. Dr. Dave was admitted to Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine after only 3 years of undergraduate work at Ohio State University. After graduating in 1979, he took a position in a practice in Amherst, Ohio. He started the Fairfield Animal Hospital in July of 1980. Dr. Dave enjoys all facets of veterinary medicine and surgery and is specifically interested in management, dermatology, behavior, and pediatrics. Dr. Dave is a member of American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association, and Butler -Warren County Veterinary Medical Association. He is Past President of the Student Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio State University Chapter, and member of Omega Tau Sigma Fraternity. He is listed as a life member of "Who's Who in Veterinary Medicine" and is qualified to be a member of Mensa. Dr. Dave lives in Fairfield with his wife Mary. Dr. Dave and Mary have 3 children: Dave Jr., who is currently a resident at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey and will be returning to Ohio for a residency in veterinary ophthmalogy at Ohio State. Alli, who is a new manager at our Blue Ash office and part time soccer coach and personal trainer for budding young soccer stars, and Emily, who is starting a career as an Occupational Therapy at The Drake Center in here in Cincinnati.

 

 

Dr. Lisa Dulaney has lived most of her life in the Cincinnati area. After graduating from Dixie Heights High School in 1979, she attended Northern Kentucky University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She was accepted at Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1987. Since 1988 she has been with the Animal Care Center of Forest Park. Long time clients might know her as Dr. Conrad, but when she married husband Mark in 1996, she changed her name to Dulaney. She resides in Forest Park with her 2 labs, Opie and Loki, and her cat, Sylvester. The newest and most precious addition to the family is daughter Courtney Conrad Dulaney, born August 21, 2000. Dr. Dulaney enjoys reading, camping, hiking, swimming, roller blading, and spending time with her family. She is a member of AVMA, OVMA, and member and past president of CVMA. She enjoys dog training and is a member of Queen City Dog Training Club.  

 

Dr. Wendy Weil is a 1997 graduate of The Ohio State University. She has been with The Animal Care Centers for the past 8 years caring for dogs and cats. Dr. Wendy's special interests are ultrasound and laser surgery. Dr. Wendy is also certified by the American Veterinary Surgical Laser Society. Her undergraduate alma mater is Kentucky Wesleyan College, where she majored in biology and was busy in theatre and music organizations. After hours, she keeps active by participating in local community theatre productions all over the city. In the summer, she enjoys showing in local horse shows and scuba diving in any puddle deep enough to submerge. She lives with her husband Andrew,  their four exceedingly spoiled cats; Merrick, Oliver, Ringo, and Mr. Face and two very special dogs, Dolly and Bean.

 

Dr. Maury Docton received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the US Naval Academy in 1969. He then went on to serve 5 years in the US Navy, 4 of which he served as a Navy SEAL. After completing two tours of duty in Vietnam, he returned to school to gain his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1978 from The Ohio State University. He joined his family practice as staff veterinarian and primary surgeon where he stayed until 1987, simultaneously completing a surgery residency/preceptorship program with the Tennessee Avenue Surgical Services in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then accepted a position with Neumister Animal Hospital as staff veterinarian and primary surgeon where he stayed until 1996. In September of 1996, Dr. Docton joined the Iams Company as Clinical Veterinarian for the Animal Care Center. In August of 2000 he moved into a new position as Manager of Development Division, and in July of 2006 assumed the role of Technical Services Veterinarian for the Home office and Central US. Since 1997, Dr. Docton's experience is invaluable and he has performed thousands of difficult surgeries in his career. He also serves as the primary referral surgeon for the Waynesville Animal Hospital and the 3 Animal Care Centers of Cincinnati.
Dr. Lindsay Borcherding is our newest addition to the Animal Care Center. She is currently working at the Fairfield and Blue Ash clinics. Lindsay is a native west-sider, graduating from Oak Hills High School in 1997. Lindsay completed her undergraduate work at DePauw University with a degree in Biology and French. Before entering Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine, Lindsay worked as a veterinary technician at a clinic in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. During college, Lindsay lived in France for 4 months. She has also traveled to most Western European countries and a few Eastern European countries as well as India and Alaska. Lindsay frequently visits Louisville, Kentucky where her boyfriend Keith is doing a surgical residency in human medicine. Besides traveling, Lindsay loves to spend time running, skiing, and walking her dog. Recently, Lindsay made the switch to the east-side by purchasing a condo in Blue Ash. She has 3 roommates; her dog, Zoe and 2 cats, Belle and Frankie.

 

Dr. Jenifer Wieneke is a native of Cold Spring, Kentucky. During college, Jenifer worked at a medical consulting firm at St. Elizabeth North. In 1997, she received a Bachelor degree in Biology from Northern Kentucky University. After college, Jenifer worked as a business manager for a urology practice, but deep down always wanted to be a veterinarian. She finally decided to follow her dream and pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine program in 2006. Her veterinary interests include internal, feline, and shelter medicine. Jenifer and her husband of 7 years have 3 dogs; Dave, Buster, Scout, and a cat named Gracie. All of her critters were initially foster pets that just never left! In her spare time, Jenifer likes to go to the opera and symphony, read, fish, and hike. Dr. Jenifer currently works at the Blue Ash clinic.

 

Dr. Sarah McNamee enters the Animal Care Center after working in a small animal practice in Centerville, Ohio. In 2000, Sarah graduated from St. Joseph's College where she received a Bachelor's degree in Biology. After graduation, she entered Ohio State University's veterinary program. During her third year at OSU, she met a "native west-sider". He proposed to her in Hawaii and the couple was married in 2005. Sarah and her husband reside in Liberty Township with their dog, Flannigan and their fat orange cat, Jameson. In her free time, Sarah loves to watch or tailgate at Buckeye, Bengals, and Reds games. Sarah says, "I love living in a city or a state with pro-sports!"

 

Dr. James A. Purvis enters the Animal Care Center after owning the Forest Park Animal Clinic for 15 years. He graduated from Ohio State Veterinary College in 1967. Being originally from Middletown, Ohio, he went into practice in Middletown until purchasing the Forest Park Animal Clinic. As well as his D.V.M. degree, Dr. Purvis has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Clinical Pathology from O.S.U.. He is also a Veterinary Acupuncturist. Dr. Purvis resides in Middletown, Ohio, with his wife Marty, one dog, "Jake", and two cats. "Chip" and "Molly". He has three children and 9 grandchildren. Hobbies include golf, woodworking, woodcarving, gardening, fishing, and cross stitch.

 

Dr. Jenny Tarr has joined the Animal Care Centers and is currently working at the Blue Ash office. Dr. Jenny received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Butler University in 2003 and went on to attend veterinary school and received her doctorate at Purdue University. Dr. Jenny enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and has special interests in dentistry and reproduction. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and walking her dog. Jenny lives with her Newfoundland, "Tildy" in Blue Ash. Dr. Jenny recalls: "I can't ever remember a time growing up when I wanted to be anything but a veterinarian. It's really fulfilling to have a career that enables you to serve both animals and people."

 

Dr. David Corfman is the newest addition to the Animal Care Center doctor's staff. Dr. Corfman was the owner of Springdale Glendale Animal Hospital. Dr. Corfman is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
